Project acronim: SMEs go Health
Financed through FP7, SME's go health was designed support SMEs and academic researchers in the 7th EU-Framework Programme (FP7) in order to foster trans-European RTD collaboration. SMEs and researchers were trained for establishing joint innovative research projects by using the funding opportunities for biomedical research of FP7. The planned supporting activities facilitated consortium building with the needed expertise and know-how, especially in New Member States (NMS) and Candidate Countries (ACC). A network of 29 partners in 27 countries (3 AS, 4 ACC, 8 NMS and 12 old member states) ensured the Europe-wide implementation of the planned activities, addressing the low participation of SMEs in the EU Framework Programme, especially in NMS and ACC, and contributing to the implementation of FP7. Collaboration with related national and international initiatives and Technology Platforms was another focus of the project, in order to benefit form synergies and hence exploit project results even better.
